Superintendent William Evans, BFS On Monday MARCH 8, 2010 Dr. Kevin Gilmartin is going to be speaking about stress and the difficult task of policing in our society at the Boston Teachers Union Hall at the BAYSIDE. We have been working closely with our unions to try to get as many people to go as possible given the fact we have lost 3 officers in the last 3 years to stress related factors. Station reps are going based on whether they are on days or firsts. Morning watch reps will be carried working for a later date. Could you please accommodate anyone who would like to attend the training the best you can without incurring overtime. I encourage you to send all your CSO staff and a few officers from the day and evening shift since everyone could benefit from this discussion. Day off officers who wish to attend and morning watch officers will be carried as working also. The day shift should attend the 9 am to 1pm session. Those requesting to go on the first half shift should make their intention know to to their respective Captain and report directly to the Teachers Hall since the second session starts at 4 and runs to 8pm.
