As promised, the Retired BPSOF has been formed. Letters are going out to our most recent retirees inviting them to join. There are no dues, but Membership in the Retired group will be a condition to remaining in the Federation's benefit plans. Retired Members will be given access to the public portion of the website, and be entitled to purchase discount tickets to retirement and Christmas parties.
Many retirees with years of talent and experience have been our Members over the years. With our collective bargaining agreement and working conditions under attack daily, we need all hands on deck. We ask merely that the Retired Group Members stay informed, and make calls and send letters to their elected officials when issues are in play with legislative or local changes affecting our group. Also, remember to support those seeking elected office who support those of us in law enforcement and our families. Any Retired Member who seeks Membership, please contact me via email or by phone at the Federation offices.
