On Wednesday August 11, 2010 the BPSOF Executive Board voted unanimously to endorse Nick Collins who is a Democratic Candidate for the State Representative seat being vacated by Rep. Brian Wallace.

At the E-Board Meeting on Wednesday August 10, 2010, we voted unanimously to participate in a picket on September 8, 2010 @ 7:00pm. We will be present with most of the other major Massachusetts police organizations to show our Unity during the first Gubernitorial Debate between Deval Patrick, Charlie Baker and Tim Cahill, which is scheduled to take place at the WBZ Studios on Soldier's Field Road, Brighton.
We once again ask the Membership to please turn out. Anyone who participates will not be charged with a refusal for OT or detail work. We need to show Gov. Patrick and his challengers that police officers and their families are a consituency that commands their respect and that promises made and collective bargaining agreements negotiated must be honored.
THE MONTHLY E-BOARD METING WILL BE HELD THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2010.

The Federation will be holding an election for the Executive Board Representative from Area A-7. The two candidates are Sergeant Winnie Cotter and Sergeant Paul Zelvis. The election will be held on Thursday August 5th, 2010, anyone needing an absentee ballot is to contact Sergeant Joe Toomey at the
Federation.

The Federation would like to congratulate our Attorney Leah Barrault and her husband Johnny Mullin on the birth of the first child. Darby Cash Mullin arrived on Wednesday at 6:16pm at 8 lbs. 11 ounces. Both mother and baby are doing great.
